The Lakehead Equestrian Team hosted their 2nd ever show at Rushmount Equine Sports.
It was an exciting day as Rushmount Equine Sports and Lakehead University hosted the second annual OCEA central zone horse show! The theme of this year's show was pumpkins and ponies. The jumps were decorated with spooky Halloween decorations but all of our amazing OCEA riders did not bat an eye at the skeletons and spiders waving in front of them.
The sportsmanship, school spirit and camaraderie at these shows make them an amazing experience and create memories that last a lifetime.
Congratulations go out to our Lakehead team with Tori Beauchemin placing third in under saddle, Jill Widdifield placing fifth in under saddle, Danika Brown placing third over fences, and Meaghan Welch placing fourth under saddle.
Thank you for all the following schools that attended our show: Guelph University, Laurentian University, York University, Georgian College, Ryerson University and the University of Toronto.
The turn out was fantastic and we can't wait to host another show next year!
