Thunderwolves Golf Team Returns to the Course

Thunderwolves Golf Team Returns to the Course
On Monday September 13th, the Orillia Thunderwolves kicked off the 2021 golf season and made their official return to OCAA sport at Lakeridge Links Golf Course for the 2021 Durham College Open.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been nearly two years since the Wolves have last teed off in a competitive tournament. Our team did us proud with a great showing for Lakehead Orillia, scoring a combined team total of 360.

Competing schools alongside Lakehead Orillia included Durham, Humber, Georgian, St. Lawrence, Niagara, St. Clair and Ontario Tech University. For the men, the top three spots went to Georgian College, with a team score of 307, followed by Humber College (309) and Durham College (315). On the women's side, the top three scores were Humber College (160), St. Clair College (170) and Durham College (174).

This season, your Thunderwolves team includes returning golfer, Joshua Brown, and four fresh faces to the team, in Jackson Beck, Noah Collins, Ronnie Money and Ethan Sleep. The team is coached by Terry Smith

We wish our golfers the best of luck at their next event of the season, the 2021 OCAA Golf Championships, hosted by Sault College. The tournament runs from September 19th to September 22nd at Crimson Ridge Golf Course, in Sault Ste. Marie.
