The Lakehead University Thunderwolves are proud to announce the return of Tim "Ace" Bailey as the head coach of it's Men’s Ice hockey team for the 2019-2020 season.

The Thunderwolves are coming from a very successful season. Finishing first place over all in league standings, then continued on to capture Lakehead University’s first ever OCR Super League Championship 2019.

Each September Lakehead Orillia competes for the Orientation Cup, with Bailey behind the bench the Thunderwolves won back to back Orientation Championships 2018 and 2019.

This season looks promising having 12 returning players and adding five new exciting prospects making this team a early favourite.

Tim "Ace" Bailey brings a wealth of hockey knowledge having played Canadian Junior Hockey beginning at the age 15 (with the Markham Waxers in the OPJHL and the Yorkton Terriers in the SJHL and Major Junior Hockey most notably with the Great Falls Americans/Spokane Flyers (WHL) but also with the Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL), Toronto Marlboros (OHL) and Kitchener Rangers (OHL)). Tim also played three years professionally in the Atlantic Coast Hockey League with the Carolina Thunderbirds and the Nashville South Stars.

Tim "Ace" Bailey brings over 32 years of head coaching experince having coached teams in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League winning the Buckland Cup League Championship 2001-2002 and various GTHL AAA Boy's teams and currently the 2019-2020 NCP Predators Major Midget AAA Team. Tim has coached Girls Rep hockey for 8 season’s with the Clearview Ice Cats & the Vaughan Flames. His Lower Lakes Female Hockey League achievements include:
