Thunderwolves host first Homecoming Hockey Game

Thunderwolves host first Homecoming Hockey Game
The Homecoming Alumni game took place on the Saturday evening to close out the Homecoming festivities.

Lakehead Orillia hosted the first Student versus Alumni hockey game as part of the annual Homecoming events this year. The game took place on the Saturday evening to close out the Homecoming festivities. Prior to the game there was a "tailgate" party for students and alumni to attend before watching or participating in the game.

Many of the players also participated in the Wolfie's Alumni Nine Hole Fun Golf Tournament that took place earlier in the day at Hawk Ridge Golf Course.

The game was a coed game featuring players from the men's and women's current team as well as alumni from the men's and women's teams. Returning alumni players included Joan Pauk, Steven Murphy, Tyler Maenz, Scott Agnew, Luke Carrick, Andreas Alexiou, Quentin Ecans, Ethan Franzin and Mikayla Rae. The current team was coached by our Women's Hockey Assistant Coach Chris Jiggins and the Alumni team was coached by our Women's Hockey Head Coach Theresa Prisciak.

It was a fun and entertaining game with lots of goals and great energy. Woflie had a great time watching the game and entertaining the attendees! The Alumni team came out victorious in this one. We are looking forward to the next Alumni game!

Thank you to all of the Lakehead Alumni who participated in the first Homecoming hockey game either as a player or a fan!
