On Sunday, January 13th, the Lakehead University Orillia Varsity Women's Soccer team dominated the field during the Barrie Indoor Soccer League Fall Championship game.

Their hard work during the fall season paid off as they were victorious and claimed the title of Champions for the Women's Recreational A/B league. Throughout the season, team captions, Madi Leigh and Chauntelle Palmer, showed great leadership on and off the field by supporting the team - their leadership was exceptional for this game, too. Fabulous goalkeeping by Palmer led the Thunderwolves to a final game shoot out. Leigh, Palmer, Hayley Miskiw and Ally Morris were able to score, giving the game a final score of 1-0 for the Thunderwolves win. Thunderwolves are now ready for their varsity season…

The Thunderwolves face off in their first official OCAA tournament Saturday, January 19th at the Pickering Soccer Centre.
