Terry Smith has an extensive golf background in the Orillia area having started playing at the age of 4 and winning an Ontario individual Championship at age 13, one of only 4 Orillia residents to make claim in the last 60 years. Terry is part of a large golfing family that has called Orillia home since the late 1940’s.

Terry has been a PGA of Canada Member since 1992 and has taught and coached hundreds of golfers over that time, including a U.S. Amateur qualifier and many Collegiate players in both Canada & the U.S.

Terry lists short game skills and course management as keys to better golf & lower scores. He is very adaptable to the unique styles that different players have.

Terry is also known in the Orillia community for his involvement as a volunteer in youth organizations, Big Brothers Big Sisters & Scouts Canada to mention a couple. Terry is a Life Member of the Orillia Minor Hockey Association, he was awarded this distinction at last year’s awards banquet as recognition of his efforts as a player, coach, executive member, mentor & official since 1960’s. Terry is excited to coach for Lakehead University and is looking forward to this year.
