Three of the members of the Lakehead Orillia Women's Basketball team have been working alongside the Barrie Royals rep basketball program to help run the Jr. NBA program.

The program is run for girls from grades 3-8 to develop their basketball skills and find a love for the sport. Having female leadership in coaching roles is not always common. Gia, Rebecca and Breanna want to be that positive impact on the future generation of basketball. Both Rebecca and Breanna are Barrie Royals alumni. The Lakehead Orillia Thunderwovles will be playing their first tournament of the season on November 22 at Humber College.
