Gia is entering her second year as a student-coach for the Women's Extramural Basketball team. In her playing career, a highlight was being a member of the Greek National team from 2008 until she went on to university. Gia played on the varsity teams at both the University of Waterloo and at Queen's University.  Afterwards, she turned to coaching, completing her NCCP level 1 and 2 coaching certifications. She has coached both at the Sr. Girls highschool level and U19 OBA Rep in her hometown of Belleville, ON. Gia is looking forward to continuing off a successful past season and developing the program at Lakehead Orillia.
