Dobson is no stranger to the Thunderwolves. A Lakehead Orillia hockey alum himself, Andrew began playing for the Thunderwolves in the 2015-16 season, and captained the men's squad from 2018-2020. He also played on the varsity golf team and was an active and involved member of the Lakehead community. He was named Athlete of the Year for the 2017-18 season, and won the Lakehead Leader Award for community engagement in 2018, as well as the Ontario Collegiate Recreation (OCR) Student Leadership award in 2019.

Now an elementary teacher, Dobson is eager to get back on the ice with the Thunderwolves, but this time, as coach. Dobson notes the impact that the Thunderwolves Athletics program has had on him and looks forward to giving back to the Lakehead community in his new role.

Andrew's past experience as a student-athlete proves his exemplary dedication to being a successful student-athlete and we are excited for him to take on this head coach position to support and guide our current student-athletes.
