Two Goals for Morris at Centennial Varsity Indoor Soccer Tournament

Two Goals for Morris at Centennial Varsity Indoor Soccer Tournament
Our Women's Varsity Indoor Soccer teams competed in their first OCAA Invitational of the year on a very snowy Saturday, January 18.

The Thunderwolves travelled to the Pickering Sports Dome to participate in a one day tournament hosted by Centennial College.

Our Thunderwolves came out strong with second year striker Ally Morris getting Lakehead an early lead against one of the top teams, Sheridan College. They headed into half with a 1-1 draw but unfortunately the Sheridan Bruins proved to be too much to handle. The women then went on to face the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) suffering a 7-0 loss. Their final game of the day resulted in a 3-1 loss against the Wilfrid Laurier University Brantford Golden Hawks. Ally Morris notched her second goal of the day in this game. The team continued to battle all day and will be looking to improve upon their performance at the next Invitational.

Next up: They will be travelling to the Ontario Soccer Centre to participate in the next OCAA Invitational hosted by George Brown on Thursday, January 30.
