The Thunderwolves Varsity Golf Team looks to open the 2022-2023 OCAA season this week at the Georgian College Golf Invitational tournament. The team won't have to travel far, as the tournament will take place close at Heritage Hills Golf Club in Barrie on Thursday September 22. 

With a quick turnaround, the team will continue their season at the Niagara Knights Fall Classic tournament on Monday September 26. This will be the first of two appearances that Thunderwolves make on the Legends on the Niagara this season, as the state of the art course will also be host to the 2022 OCAA Provincial Championships in October. 

The 2022-2023 Varsity team is in strong form, with a mix of returning athletes and fresh faces and talent to the roster, led by long-time Head Coach, Terry Smith.

This season, veteran golfer and 4th year Business Administration major Josh Brown (Kilworthy, ON) returns for his 3rd year on the team. Brown is joined by returning athletes Jackson Beck (Barrie, ON) and Noah Collins (Midland, ON). Beck, a 3rd year Education student was named Rookie of the Year for the 2021-2022 season, and 2nd year Business Administration student, Collins took home MVP last season.

Joining the team as rookies this season are 1st year Education students, Alexander Timpano (Orillia, ON) and Patrick Hayes (Hamilton, ON).
